Professional Teeth Whitening · Orland Park, IL

There's a reason most whitening
doesn't give you the smile
you were actually hoping for.

Strips, trays, and even many in-office treatments use outdated technology that degrades before it ever reaches your enamel. KöR Whitening solves the problem at a scientific level — and it's available right here in Orland Park at Inspire Dental Wellness.

Why you're underwhelmed

Three reasons most whitening
doesn't work the way you hoped

If you've tried whitening before and been disappointed, it isn't your teeth — it's the technology. Here's what's actually going wrong.

🌡️

The gel is already degraded

Whitening gels begin losing potency the moment they're removed from refrigeration. Most products sit at room temperature for weeks or months before reaching your mouth — significantly weakened before you even begin.

Root cause: No cold chain from manufacturer to patient
💧

Saliva is neutralizing the gel

Saliva contains an enzyme (peroxidase) that actively breaks down whitening agents. Standard trays and strips allow constant saliva contact, cutting effective whitening time to just minutes — not the hours needed for deep results.

Root cause: Generic trays with no saliva seal
🔦

It only reaches surface stains

Over-the-counter and many professional treatments work only on extrinsic (surface) staining. Deeper, intrinsic stains — caused by aging, antibiotics, or fluorosis — require a fundamentally different chemical approach to penetrate enamel.

Root cause: Insufficient concentration and contact time
The science behind KöR

KöR was engineered to solve
every one of those problems — simultaneously

KöR isn't a brighter marketing claim on the same underlying technology. It's a completely different approach — developed by Dr. Rod Kurthy after decades of whitening research — built around keeping the gel potent and maximizing contact time.

❄️
Refrigerated from factory to your mouth
KöR gels are manufactured and continuously refrigerated throughout shipping and storage. Your custom trays arrive with full-potency gel — a first in the industry and a core reason results are so dramatically different.
🔒
Patented tray design seals out saliva
KöR's Tri-Barrel Hydremide Peroxide trays create a near-perfect seal against saliva. This extends effective whitening contact from minutes to 6–10 hours — allowing deep penetration into enamel that other systems simply can't achieve.
🔬
Addresses intrinsic staining other treatments miss
KöR is the only whitening system clinically proven to treat tetracycline (antibiotic) staining — considered the hardest whitening challenge in dentistry. If other treatments have failed you, this is why KöR exists.
Why results differ so dramatically
Standard whitening
Gel stored at room temp — potency degrades to ~30% before treatment begins
KöR Whitening
Gel refrigerated continuously — arrives at full 100% potency
Contact time
Saliva neutralizes gel in 25–35 minutes. Effective window is very short.
Contact time
Saliva-sealing trays allow 6–10 hours of continuous effective whitening
Depth reached
Surface stains only — intrinsic staining is unchanged
Depth reached
Deep enamel penetration — removes intrinsic & extrinsic staining

Is KöR right for you?

KöR is the right choice if
any of these sound like you

😤

You've tried whitening before and been let down

Strips, Zoom, or your previous dentist's trays didn't deliver. That's a technology problem, not a you problem. KöR was built for exactly this scenario.

💊

Tetracycline or antibiotic staining

Dark, grayish intrinsic stains from antibiotics taken during tooth development. KöR is the only clinically proven treatment for this. No other system comes close.

Years of coffee, tea, wine, or tobacco

Deep, stubborn staining that's accumulated over time. KöR removes both surface and intrinsic staining for a result that isn't just better — it's permanent.

💍

A significant event is coming up

Wedding, reunion, milestone birthday. You want a real, dramatic, noticeable transformation — not "a little brighter." KöR delivers that level of change.

Sensitivity has held you back

KöR's built-in desensitizing protocol makes it comfortable for the majority of sensitive patients. Many people who couldn't tolerate other whitening handle KöR beautifully.

🌟

You simply want the best result that exists

No dramatic staining history — you just want to know you chose the most effective, most scientifically advanced whitening available today. This is it.

Understanding the investment

KöR costs more than whitening strips.
Here's why that's a good thing.

🔁
Other whitening is a recurring cost
Strips, gels, and in-office touch-ups add up every 6–12 months. Most patients spend $300–$800 over several years and are never fully satisfied with the result.
♾️
KöR is a one-time treatment
After your KöR treatment, periodic at-home maintenance (roughly once a month with the trays you already have) keeps your result indefinitely. You don't repeat the full treatment.
You'll know the exact cost before you commit
We're a fee-for-service office — you pay at time of treatment. Any reimbursement your plan provides comes back to you. We'll walk you through what to expect before you commit to anything.

Questions we hear often

Straightforward answers
about KöR Whitening

Does insurance cover KöR whitening?+
We're a fee-for-service office, which means payment is due at the time of treatment. As a courtesy, we'll file a claim with your insurance on your behalf — any reimbursement your plan provides goes directly to you. Cosmetic whitening is generally not a covered benefit, but we'll give you full cost transparency before you make any decisions so there are no surprises.
I've tried Zoom and it didn't give me great results. Why would KöR be different?+
This is probably the most common thing we hear. Zoom and similar in-office systems use room-temperature gels that have lost significant potency before treatment begins, and they don't address the saliva problem. KöR's refrigerated gel and saliva-sealing tray system operate on a fundamentally different mechanism — most patients who were disappointed by Zoom see dramatically better results with KöR.
Will I experience sensitivity?+
KöR includes a desensitizing protocol specifically designed to minimize sensitivity throughout treatment. Many patients with a history of sensitivity with other whitening systems are surprised by how comfortable KöR is. During your consultation, we'll assess your sensitivity history and customize the protocol accordingly.
How long do results actually last?+
KöR is designed to be permanent. Your custom trays come home with you along with maintenance gel. Using them roughly once a month — for just a night — counteracts the gradual staining from daily life. As long as you do periodic maintenance, your results should last indefinitely without repeating the full treatment.
Do I need to give up coffee, tea, and wine?+
No. The monthly at-home maintenance protocol is specifically designed for people who live normal lives — including coffee drinkers and wine enthusiasts. You don't need to change your diet. You just use your trays for one night a month to offset everyday staining.
What's the difference between the KöR treatment levels?+
KöR has several tiers: KöR Home (for lighter staining), KöR Max (the standard in-office + at-home combination), KöR Ultra (for more stubborn cases with additional in-office sessions), and KöR Ultra-T (specifically for tetracycline staining). We'll recommend the appropriate level for your situation at your consultation based on your starting shade and goals.
Can I do KöR whitening if I have crowns, veneers, or bonding?+
Whitening agents only affect natural tooth enamel — they won't whiten crowns, veneers, or composite bonding. We'll identify any restorations during your consultation so you understand what to expect and whether any restorations may need to be replaced after whitening to match your new shade.
